Apoorva Jagadeesh

Apoorva Jagadeesh is 16 years old and an incoming junior at Bridgewater-Raritan High School. She has been learning Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Smt. Suba Ramesh Parmar, for the past six years. Apoorva has shown her love for dance by competing and performing with many award winning dance teams of Shubanjali School and has been participating in the annual Indian Association Spring dance festival for the past ten years.
In school, Apoorva has earned her place in Symphony Orchestra and is an active member of the Habitat for Humanity Club. She enjoys playing for her school’s Junior Varsity tennis team. She is also an accomplished honor roll student. Apoorva is extremely committed to help make her community a better place and volunteers at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Somerset County Bridgewater Library, the HTCS Bridgewater Balaji Temple. In addition, she enjoys drawing and playing the viola outside of school, which she has been practicing for five years.
Apoorva is excited to be able to share her love for Indian classical dance through her Arangetram performance. She looks forward to learning more about her culture; develop her dance skills, and continue her passion and pursuit of excellence in Bharatanatyam.
